Johnny Henderson grew up in Southern California and began his musical adventures at the age of 15 as a drummer, but when his talented brother took over the drum set, Johnny took up the bass guitar. It turned out to be a life-long love affair as Johnny has become one of the West Coast’s premier bassists. Johnny has played for many different types of bands over his 37 year musical career before creating dysFUNKsion with his wife Connie. (ha! If you only knew)

Johnny’s flamboyant stage presence and thumpin’ bass are a featured component of the dysFUNKsion formula, and when he’s got his groove on, everybody knows that Johnny’s in the house!
